Synopsis

In a frozen, ruined city where silence and abandonment dominate, two girls, Chito and Yuuri, ride a motorbike between decaying buildings. As the last known inhabitants of this war-ravaged place, they search former military sites for supplies and salvage, moving through wastelands and sharing memories and conjectures about the vanished past. Each copes with the weight of isolation in different ways—Yuuri with spontaneous enthusiasm, Chito with serene restraint—but together they ease one another’s loneliness. Their days, though shadowed by loss, include small, human comforts: practicing marksmanship, discovering new books, and throwing snowballs across an empty battlefield. Set against barren vistas and abandoned architecture, the story follows their measured efforts to sustain life and cling to modest sources of warmth and meaning in an otherwise dying world.
