Synopsis

Ai adopts a French Bulldog from Happy Kennel and names him Alex. She shares stories with him, especially a book called The Adventures of Freddy about a dog who leaves home in search of the Fortune Tree. When Alex mistakenly follows a girl wearing the same clothes as Ai onto a bus, he becomes separated from his owner. Taking the name Freddy from the story, the dog begins a journey to return to Ai. Along the way, Freddy befriends others and learns that the Fortune Tree is dying; unless it is saved, people’s goodwill toward their pets will fade. Freddy and his companions must locate and protect the Fortune Tree to preserve the bond between humans and animals and allow him to reunite with Ai.
