Synopsis

Hana Haruyama has loved storytelling since childhood. Inspired by a televised child performer, she begins telling stories to the children of Tonaki Island, who respond warmly to her recitations. Living in a close-knit rural community, Hana has been content with her familiar world and has not considered life beyond it. As a first-year at Sumomogaoka High School, her talent draws the attention of Mizuki Usurai, president of the broadcasting club. Although Hana feels uncertain and anxious about what lies ahead, Mizuki persuades her to join the club, encouraging her to cultivate her ability and aim for higher goals, including competing at the national level of the NHK Broadcasting Competition.
