Synopsis

A celebrated spirit healer, known for wearing a silent bell and remaining largely unseen, wanders through a world populated by yaoguai—sentient spirits, demons, animals, and elemental beings. She travels to aid these creatures when they endure spiritual distress, occasionally intervening in human affairs she encounters. Her companions are a young monk and a serpent demon who takes human shape. Each episode examines different yaoguai and traces the roots of their pain, exploring the connections between suffering, spirit, and healing without revealing major plot outcomes.
