Synopsis

In the remote town of Bellforest, fourteen-year-old Renton Thurston longs to leave routine life behind and seeks to join the mercenary crew Gekkostate for purpose and excitement. Pressured by his grandfather to follow a mechanic’s path and overshadowed by his late father’s reputation, Renton’s only thrill comes from surfing on invisible Trapar wave particles that fill the air. That equilibrium is disrupted when an unfamiliar object smashes through his garage: a Light Finding Operation robot, the Nirvash typeZERO, which can navigate the Trapar currents. Its pilot, a young woman named Eureka affiliated with Gekkostate, asks Renton to service the machine. Their encounter draws Renton into the Gekkostate’s world; he departs as the Nirvash’s co-pilot alongside Eureka, embarking on a new chapter away from his former life.
