Synopsis

After his grandfather Yasuji passed away, Kousuke Kumagaya has pulled away from Natsume Tonai, his childhood companion and like-family neighbor, because Natsume clings to memories of the past. Their tension deepens when they learn their old apartment complex will be torn down. Drawn to the site by rumors of a ghost, Kousuke and his friends explore the condemned building and encounter Natsume. A dispute over Yasuji’s old camera leads Natsume to flee and nearly fall from the rooftop, when suddenly a heavy storm floods the area. The children find themselves adrift at sea with the apartment block serving as their makeshift vessel. Cut off from the outside world, Kousuke and Natsume must mend their strained relationship and cooperate if they hope to return home.
