Synopsis

Half a century after humans began taking to the skies to hunt dragons, these creatures remain both a grave threat and a coveted resource: every part of a dragon has value, so specialized hunters known as drakers pursue them from the air. Despite the daring nature of their work, drakers live with social exclusion and insecurity; they have no stable homes, and the upkeep of aging dragon-hunting airships is costly and monotonous. Dragons themselves are unpredictable and singular, making each hunt a distinct challenge. One of the dwindling airships still in operation is the Quin Zaza, whose crew includes Takita, a determined newcomer seeking acceptance; Mika, an impulsive yet accomplished hunter; and Jirou, a sincere young man driven by a need to confront both dragons and his own past. Bound by a shared purpose, they engage in perilous aerial confrontations that demand skill, planning, and personal sacrifice.
