Synopsis

By 2071 humanity has colonized other planets, yet crime remains prevalent: murders, drug use, and theft persist in new settlements. A profession has grown to meet this need—bounty hunters who track interstellar outlaws. Spike Spiegel and Jet Black travel the stars pursuing fugitives to earn a modest living. Spike's casual, playful surface conceals deep scars from a violent history, while Jet carries his own burdens as he maintains the Bebop and looks after Spike. Their crew expands when they encounter Faye Valentine, a skilled con artist; Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky IV, an eccentric young hacker; and Ein, a genetically enhanced Welsh corgi. As they form bonds and handle diverse criminal cases, a figure from Spike's past resurfaces, initiating a calculated and escalating threat. That adversary's obsessive scheme forces Spike to confront a defining choice: remain with the makeshift family he has found or pursue vengeance for old injuries.
