Synopsis

A century after the immortal Tian Quan defeated the Mirage Lord and banished the Mirage Spirit from Cangshuo, her soul remains fractured and the memory of that conflict has faded. She descends to the mortal realm to tend the land of Cangshuo and raises an immortal bird, Li Xiao, who soon assumes human form. Struck by Li Xiao’s resemblance in manner and appearance to her former lover Shao Weili, Tian Quan entrusts him with healing duties: Li Xiao, gifted with an uncanny knowledge of herbs, treats the sick and aids the people in her stead. When Li Xiao fails to return, Tian Quan searches in Luoyi Town and finds the settlement devastated and the Mirage Spirit resurrected. Together, Tian Quan and Li Xiao confront the reemergent Mirage to save the town. As Tian Quan’s fragmented memories resurface, she uncovers possible links among Shao Weili, Li Xiao, and the Mirage she once destroyed.
