Synopsis

Daikichi Kawachi, a 30-year-old single man working a stable job, leads a quiet, directionless life until his grandfather dies. Returning home to pay respects, he encounters Rin, a young girl revealed to be his grandfather's unacknowledged daughter. Shy and withdrawn, Rin is rejected by the extended family and left without anyone willing to care for her. Disturbed by their indifference, Daikichi decides to bring Rin into his home despite having no experience raising a child. The story follows his transition into the role of guardian, depicting his patient, compassionate efforts to care for Rin and the developing emotional ties.
