Synopsis

Aoba Watase, an ordinary high school student, is attacked by a massive combat robot called a Valiancer and rescued by his enigmatic classmate Hina Yumihara. Hina explains that both she and the machine originate from the future, then unexpectedly sends Aoba seven decades ahead to avert his imminent death. He awakens in the cockpit of a Valiancer named Luxon amid an intense clash between the Free Pact Alliance and the Zogilia Republic. After demonstrating strong synchronization with FPA pilot Dio Weinberg, Aoba and Dio achieve a successful coupling that lets them share perceptions and enhances their combat effectiveness. Although Aoba survives the encounter, the FPA vessel Cygnus detains him for questioning. Concerned first with whether he can return to his own time, Aoba soon becomes entwined in a broader conflict over the fate of the world.
