Synopsis

During a summer camp, fifteen children exploring near the shore discover a hidden cave containing a strange chamber and an enigmatic man who identifies himself as Kokopelli. He proposes a game in which each participant will alternately control a giant robot to defend Earth from alien adversaries. Intrigued, all but one child sign an agreement to join. Soon the robot manifests physically and the children are transported into its cockpit, where Kokopelli is present and engages another similar machine in combat. After the encounter, Kokopelli begins to speak but the children are abruptly returned to the surface amid the wreckage. The robot then vanishes, leaving the group frightened and uncertain. What began as an intriguing diversion quickly reveals unforeseen risks, and the children must confront how their individual histories will affect the choices they make as events unfold.
