Synopsis

In 199X in Kushiro, Hokkaido, three monstrous Dragonite appear, wielding immense destructive capability as they assault the city. Their arrival releases the sealed malice of Jashin Drago, who had been confined by a holy fighter bearing the Liger tattoo two centuries earlier. Believing that the Liger protector is gone, Drago and Empress Zara move to subjugate Earth with an army of biomechanical creatures. Conventional military forces, including Japan's Self-Defense Forces, prove ineffective against the Dragonites' overwhelming strength. Among the refugees is 16-year-old Ken Taiga, an unassuming youth. Unaware to the invaders, Ken discovers he is a descendant of the Liger warrior; in a surge of emotion his Liger birthmark manifests and, invoking the transformation cry, he summons demonic, long-haired biomechanical armor. Ken becomes Jushin Liger and confronts the invading evil to defend humanity.
