Synopsis

In a virtual social network where users craft alternate identities, a newcomer known as Belle becomes widely admired for her captivating singing, her music drawing intense emotional responses from listeners. In reality she is Suzu Naito, a withdrawn young woman from the countryside who lost the ability to sing after a traumatic event; attempts to perform in the real world led to physical and emotional collapse. Entering the virtual realm allows Suzu to express herself again through the avatar Belle, whose performances rapidly attract both admiration and hostility. At the same time, the platform is marked by stories of a disruptive presence nicknamed The Dragon. Following an unexpected encounter during one of Belle's shows, Suzu discovers that the person behind that reputation may differ from the rumors. Navigating reactions online and consequences offline, Suzu must confront questions of selfhood, the pressures of visibility, and the challenge of reconnecting with her own emotions.
