Synopsis

On the world called Earthdash, residents often look up at the moon and the high-tech lunar settlement known as Mooneyes with a mixture of wonder and distance. In Rollingtown on the planet’s surface, a young boy named Dan JD becomes involved in Bigfoot Basketball, an intense, fast-moving sport contested using enormous humanoid robots known as Bigfoots. The story follows Dan’s experiences in this strikingly mechanized game against the backdrop of a society shaped by its view of the technological city above.
