Synopsis

After a brutal attack by a massive prehistoric African elephant draws global attention, a lone survivor credits its death to an unarmed man—unwittingly describing Yuujirou Hanma, nicknamed the "Ogre" and famed as possibly the planet's strongest being. His 18-year-old son Baki, driven by determination to surpass his father, is shown training against an unusually fierce opponent: a praying mantis. Seeking to test himself and provoke events leading to growth, Baki kidnaps U.S. President George Bosch to engineer his own confinement at Arizona State Prison. Inside, he shares a facility with Oliva Biscuit, reputed as the United States' strongest man and an inmate granted rare freedoms, and observes Oliva's focus on his peculiar rival Jun Guevaru—known as the "Second" and another prisoner who receives exceptional treatment. Confused but curious about the prison's hierarchy and its formidable residents, Baki endures harsh conditions while watching for the chance to challenge and measure his own abilities.
