Synopsis

Takuya Enoki, a ten-year-old, faces harsh responsibilities after his mother dies in a car crash. With their father occupied by long hours as a salaryman, Takuya assumes the role of primary caregiver for his infant brother, Minoru. He handles cooking, cleaning, and managing Minoru’s needs, and struggles to keep the household functioning while neighbors criticize him for the baby's incessant crying. As Takuya sacrifices typical childhood experiences and watches his peers enjoy carefree days, he confronts repeated difficulties and setbacks. Through persistent effort and hardship, he gradually confronts what it means to be part of a family and to accept mature duties at a young age.
