Synopsis

On the Cremona islands, a vigilante known as Killer B divides public opinion as he delivers lethal justice with a blade and uncanny abilities. The Royal Investigation Service cannot capture him and summons Keith Flick, an experienced but unconventional investigator sidelined to the Archives after a personal tragedy. As violent incidents multiply—from clandestine killings of criminals to targeted attacks on officials—it becomes apparent multiple actors are involved. Joined by the impulsive Lily Hoshina and at times aided by the mysterious Killer B, Keith uncovers links to covert groups, acts of domestic terror, and human experimentation. As the RIS's role grows suspect, revelations about institutional corruption and the reliability of supposed allies complicate the pursuit of truth.
