Synopsis

Set in an alternative continuity separate from the earlier film adaptations, Appleseed Alpha follows Deunan Knute and the already-cybernetic Briareos during the early 22nd century. Traveling through the devastated remains of New York, they seek the legendary city of Olympus. Hired by Two Horns, a warlord controlling parts of the ruined metropolis, they are tasked with destroying humanoid combat units. During this mission they cross paths with Iris and Olson, who are pursuing their own objective. After forming an alliance, Deunan and Briareos join their effort as they face the looming danger posed by Talos, a hostile cyborg intent on seizing a clandestine human weapon—an operation that involves coercing Iris into activating a massive war machine.
