Synopsis

Set against the backdrop of the Civil War, this story follows Faye, the gentle daughter of the influential landowner Carson. Once sheltered and pure, Faye becomes involved in a passionate, intimate relationship with her friend John and the household servant Sophia, a bond that accelerates the loss of her former innocence. At the same time, a brooding and determined nobleman, Lord Mark, fixates on her and pursues his aims without regard for consequence, creating rising tension around Faye’s fate and choices.
