Synopsis

Hotori Arashiyama secretly takes a job at Seaside Cafe, a poorly converted maid establishment by the waterfront that lacks typical offerings like tea and attentive service and draws mainly nearby shoppers. Between classes, shifts at the modest cafe, family responsibilities, and a budding romance, Hotori fumbles her way through teenage life with little refinement. Supported by friends and relatives, she attempts to find a path through the unpredictable and often unconventional challenges of adolescence without revealing too much about her unusual workplace.
