Synopsis

Long ago, Kanna, the final member of a winged lineage, was confined within a castle because others feared her. She fell in love with a soldier, Ryuuya, and confided in him her longing to leave the castle and to find her mother. Ryuuya tried to grant those wishes, but Kanna was instead bound by magic to the skies and condemned to endless suffering. Centuries later, Yukito, a descendant of Ryuuya, arrives in a quiet town shortly before its yearly festival, hoping to earn money. There he encounters Misuzu, an unusual girl who stirs memories of a warning from his mother: should he meet the reincarnation of the winged girl, he must use his ability to free her. As Yukito and Misuzu grow closer, their lives become linked and romantic feelings develop. When Yukito uncovers Misuzu’s ties to the old tragedy, he faces a choice between leaving or attempting to lift the long-standing curse that has afflicted Kanna for generations.
