Synopsis

A promising girl sent to a London boarding school for girls faces sudden tragedy when she learns her father has died. Stripped of her prior standing, she is compelled to remain at the school working as a servant to support herself. Former classmates who once treated her kindly turn away after learning of her changed circumstances.
