Synopsis

Rishe Irmgard Weitzner faces another public disgrace as her fiancé ends their engagement and her ducal family prepares to cast her out. Untroubled by panic, Rishe reflects on six prior reincarnations in which she repeatedly pursued new callings, only to be drawn into conflict and meet death each time. Hoping for a calm seventh life, she seeks a quiet, uneventful path. Her plans are disrupted by Arnold Hein, crown prince of the Galkhein Kingdom, who is fated to seize power and ignite a sweeping invasion. Complicating matters, Arnold was responsible for Rishe’s death in a previous life; his sudden marriage proposal forces her to weigh accepting him as a means to secure the peaceful existence she desires. As Rishe contemplates the offer, she must uncover the motives behind Arnold’s past violence and decide whether engaging with him can prevent the foretold war.
